About Us
DroneFeed is a full-scale East Coast drone services company. We offer Land Surveying, Aerial Data, and Technical Services, including LiDAR.
We started back in 2019 as a hobby, until one day a local farmer asked us if we could help survey his land. We said yes, and the business was born.
Turns out they weren’t the only ones who wanted our services. We’re here to help farms, waterways, electric companies, real estate developers, and other commercial enterprises. Our drones and equipment are FAA registered and we serve the entire East Coast.
We believe our methods and technology can drastically improve the efficiency in certain industries. We’re also really excited to be offering LiDAR services.
What is LiDAR?
LiDAR stands for light detection and ranging. LiDAR is a remote sensing method that can detect objects in real space with a high degree of precision and accuracy.
Usually this utilizes a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), commonly known as a drone. A drone flies over a set area while a sensor sends out laser pulses at a rate up to 3million pulses per second onto a surface and measuring the time it takes for the signal to return.
That LiDAR Data is digitally compiled with GPS data and additional measurements to create a digital representation of the scanned area. This is usually exported in a point cloud file format, a versatile file format that we can work with to build a great number of deliverables for our clients.

Instead of risking serious injury and spending tons of man hours to inspect a potentially dangerous site, let us do it with technology. We can send a drone to places that are hazardous to human inspectors, such as pitched roofs, industrial stacks, cell towers, wind turbines, hazardous waste sites or emergency situations.
